Tiny Works Original Theatre - Ages 8 to 12
Mondays 3:30pm to 4:30pm weekly, Queens Park Theatre
$100/term + $25 annual membership fee

A mix of theatre games while teaching kids creative physical and verbal performance techniques used in theatre in order to develop original performance pieces that students both create and perform. The the aim is to get kids thinking creatively and build confidence on stage. They will learn stagecraft, character and scene development working together as a theatre ensemble. Tiny Works Theatre allows the creative side of their brains to be naturally stimulated while having fun! Children are naturally imaginative and curious. When we combine their inquisitiveness with performance and self expression, we get a natural result of high energy and creativity. Creative people usually become the entrepreneurs of their generations, creating new and exciting things and ideas, as well as leading by example. This is theatre created by kids for kids!

Prodigies Improv Theatre -  School Year 7 to 9
Mondays 3.45pm to 5.00pm, Queens Park Theatre
$110/term + $25 annual membership fee

Improvisational theatre is the form of theatre, often comedy, in which most or all of what is performed is unplanned or unscripted: created spontaneously by the performers. The dialogue, action, story, and characters are created together by the players as the scene unfolds in present time often using an audience suggestion for inspiration. This might sound scary but we teach you all the techniques and skills to be able to do this !It’s all about taking risks in a safe space – it’s about diving into the unknown, without a plan, and saying YES to whatever is in front of you and building on it. Young guns does this through short form theatre games (think to shows like “Whos Line Is It Anyway” and “Thank God You’re Here”) as well as exploring long form Improv. Not only is improv fun and entertaining, Improv techniques are often used extensively in drama to train actors for stage and film. The skills and processes of improvisation we teach are also useful offstage. It is used in classrooms and in businesses as a way to develop communication skills, creative problem solving, and supportive team-work abilities that are used by improv player. Most of all it’s just a whole lot of fun!
