Free laughs at Leonora Golden Gift

The Leonora Golden Gift 2017 program promises even more family fun, concerts, activities and entertainment than ever before, including a free comedy show in the main street of Leonora on Sunday 4 June at 5.30pm.

Headlining is Andy Saunders, famous for his impressive and an extraordinary comedic ability to use humor to break down barriers and stereotypes as well as provoke thought in any audience.

Saunders has quickly evolved into one of Australia’s most popular and successful comedians, performing at a variety of events and venues including the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow 2017 and Lismore Laughs 2017.

Performing along side will be Perth comedian Matt Storer, who burst onto the comedy scene in 2014 after winning the WA Raw Comedy award and the Funny Faces competition.

Storer has performed around Australia, mixing his runaway imagination with a unique perspective to create a hilarious yet bizarre sense of humour.

A handful of The Comedy Emporium’s best standup comedians from regional WA will also be performing standup comedy on the night.

The Comedy Emporium Ringleader Julian Canny said, “We are super excited to be producing this amazing free comedy show for the Goldfields community at the Leonora Golden Gift this year”.

“The show will presents an exciting mix of leading standup comedians and provides a fantastic opportunity for upcoming regional comedians to perform along side them,” he said.
