The Comedy Emporium's Winter in the Pub Show

Jon Snow may have said “Winter is coming”, but according to The Comedy Emporium’s Ring Leader, Julian Canny “Winter is already here mate, and it’s too bloody cold in our shed”.

That's why The Comedy Emporium are once again seeking refuge and will be holding another hilarious Winter Comedy in the Pub Show. This year, the popular Winter Comedy in the Pub Show will be taking place at the Camel Bar on Friday 19 of August. Doors will be open at 7pm for a 8.30pm comedy kick off.

So ditch the slippers for the night and let your favourite local comedians warm your hearts with laughter. The show boast a hilarious line up starring the ever popular Matt Storer as MC.

In 2014  Matt Storer burst onto Perth’s comedy scene, winning both the WA RAW Comedy award and the Funny Faces competition.  Matt is becoming a regular in the Geraldton scene, close to the local favourites in popularity. He mixes his runaway imagination with a unique perspective to create humour that is refreshingly bizarre and inventive.

A regular in all of Perth’s comedy clubs, Matt has impressed audiences across the city with his larger-than-life stage presence and has received applause in Melbourne, across regional Western Australia and will be performing in London later this year.

On the night The Camel Bar will have their delicious $10 meals on offer too – if you arrive early enough. “We don’t want the sound of people chewing mixed in with the comedians sets, or laughter for that matter…I can just see the mouthfuls of dinner going flying after an especially good punchline.” says The Comedy Emporium’s Regional Producer, Emma Howell. “Nope. Definitely all dinners finished before comedy starts please people!”

The Camel Bar’s Bar Manager Sam Lindsay says he can’t wait for the show having wanted to host a comedy show for some time now.

“I’m excited to see what the night brings! My wife and I attended the last show and were impressed by the massive turnout and hope for the same at our place” he said.

Tickets are only $25.00 each or $35.00 for a dinner package.
