FAT GIRLS IN BIKE SHORTS TAKE ON FRINGE

TANDEM BIKES, WINE, THIGH GAPS, AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN (MOSTLY MORE THIGHS)

TWO FAT GIRLS grabbing life by the ‘handles’ and holding on for the ride rock their debut performance of their original comedy show Fat Girls in Bike Shorts for Perth FRINGE WORLD 2016. Tackling only the ‘big’ issues are Geraldton-er Rosie Sitorus and Mandurah-er Kellee Aberg, two passionate young women who aim to entertain, inspire, and educate the world around them.

“We want people to come to the show who love snacking unnecessarily between meals as much as we do,” Aberg said.

“Not many people know that the secret to a chafe-free Summer is actually $8 at K-Mart.”

Conversations around body-shaming and judgements, their experiences with men and dogs, and how wine makes the world go ‘round are littered hilariously through this sharp, witty, warming show.

“We love life as much as we love cake,” Aberg explained.

“Often people take it upon themselves to let us know we’re fat, which is kind of them as we didn’t realise until they told us.

“The thing is though, body-shaming never made anyone like cake less.”

Offering real-world solutions to chafe, food and dating, the experienced performers will make you feel welcome and allow you to experience and empathise with their sometimes funny, sometimes sad stories, anecdotes and thoughts.
